The Glasgow Members' Centre of the National Trust for Scotland has a winter series of talks between October and March. Talks are free to members. New Members are always welcome.
Covid-19 restrictions. due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions all meetings in the 2020-21 winter season will be held using the "Zoom" platform or the telephone for those unable to access "Zoom".
The 2020 - 21 lecture series is given below.
Note: two additional lectures have been added to our programme on 13th January and 21st April 2021.
Lecture Series : October 2020 - April 2021
- Wednesday 14th October 2020 at 14:00
- Iain Wotherspoon, Chair of the Architectural Society of Glasgow will give a talk on the area around Otago Street in Glasgow's West End.
- Wednesday 11th November 2020 at 14:00
- Niall Murphy, Depute Director of Glasgow City Heritage Trust will discuss the Statues in George Square, Glasgow.
- Wednesday 13th January 2021 at 14:00
- An additional talk has been arranged in memory of our past chairman Dr. Helen Cargill Thomson who died in 2020.
Fergus Sutherland, will give us a talk entitled "Industrial Pleasures: the Development of Mass Entertainment in Victorian Glasgow".

- A.G.M followed by Robert Ferguson, Vice Chairman of the NTS Glasgow Members' Centre who will talk about White Gold and the Europeans' love of porcelain.
- Wednesday 10th March 2021 at 14:00
- Derek Alexander, Head of Archaeology at the National Trust for Scotland will tell us about his project to reconstruct a turf house in Glencoe.
